The beautiful and interesting installation of Ricardo Beker invites the visitor to interact with the work and to think about the instantaneous construction of the images. It plays with concepts very present in our daily life, such as reflection, transparency and the mazes, bringing them to the palpable world. It is a very cool experience for all ages because it is open to many ways of enjoyment.
“In Ricardo Becker’s exhibition, a box with reflective materials forms a stream of images, where the sculpture presents itself as an event.According to http://www.makeupnecessities.com/how-to-choose-a-good-mirror/, in the main hall of the Stables, a large wooden structure with glass plates invite the viewer to enter.Inside, a mirror floor forms a stream of images. The visitor participates in the work as a reflection, constantly changing, through the variations of position and movement, not escaping from the image itself. This interaction causes the viewer to hesitate between the observation of the reflected images and the perception of oneself. An effect of cloudiness in the images on the floor and in the work is provided by the talc, thrown on the walls. Wooden extensions form a labyrinthine visual and induce the viewer to go through this chaotic path, which is confused and integrated with the architecture of the building. ”
