1-Habernis

Who towards the end of June’s driving Geltinger Bucht (the Baltic Sea is 300 meters away), should put a stop in the garden of Ulla and Nils Pais. Enchanted, the rest farm is located in a park-like garden with a huge chestnut, lime trees and Apple trees, idyllic ponds and a rose garden. Who are lucky, find the homeowner when working in their flower beds. You can distract but liked to talk to visitors about their hobby. Who forget about the time, can stay in the romantic coach house or in one of the three apartments.

Habernis 1, 24972 Steinberg/Habernis, (rental weekly), open: 23, 24.6, 11 am to 6 pm, entrance fee: 1 euro

2 Dollerup Nordballig

To find the entrance, you need a little patience, but worth the effort: in the 12 000 square meter garden of Sybille Ehmann-green and Uwe Green there are for all flower lovers to look something up. The Heath bog garden, the gold and the rose garden with the Pavilion and natural ponds with the birds trees are worth a visit. A nice contrast to the soft shapes which is a perennial flower beds bordered the herb garden at the House with strict boxwood hedges and slender Espalier fruit trees framed. But the camomile lawn behind the natural lake is the most beautiful – you would like to leave there immediately to fall into.

Tösmus 1, 24989 Dollerup Nordballig, opened: 23, 24.6, 11 to 18: 00, entrance fee: 3 euros, no dogs

3 – Ahneby

Who had so far no idea, as a country house garden looks modeled on English, should the small paradise of Helga and Friedrich Streppel visit. The sea of colour from blue-violet and pink perennials and the thyme-lined gravel paths, which are every now and then a thimble or a mullein lolling, is overwhelming. Lush climbing roses proliferate across the trellis arch, and across from the entrance, the trail leads to an English greenhouse. But not only the garden culture is the Streppels on the heart, but also the species and nature conservation, which is why they have grown native plants such as Hawthorn and Apple rose and created a pond with water lilies. Behind the orchard, trotting a herd of Skudden, langmähnige sheep, and is produced through the wild herbs.

Westerstr. 14, 24996 Ahneby, opened: 23, 24.6, 10 to 17 hrs. Admission: 3 euro, no dogs

4-Wagersrott

A long tree-lined Avenue, and behind it is a stately farmhouse from the 17th century with a magnificent garden. No wonder herbal doctor Hinnerksen feel comfortable here in the ZDF Series “Country doctor”. Since Gretchen and Jürgen Bartel have received their “Dutch court” affectionately and created another jewel behind the House: over 120 historic roses such as the famous snow-white and rose-red (Rosa alba ‘Maxima’, Rosa centifolia ‘major’) from Angelner Gardens blossom in the former vegetable garden. In the hallway, the homeowners have 2000 collected exhibits from neighboring farmhouses (admission: 2 euros). At the Angelner steam railway runs to Wagersrott, station next door.

24392 Wagersrott, Roses bloom mid-June to mid-July (the garden is accessible)

5-Norderbrarup

Driving no evidence suggests that flourishes here as a gem: rose pur. About 150 different historic Wild Roses such as the vinegar rose (Rosa gallica ‘Versicolor’) or the frosted rose (Rosa glauca) vying for the favor of visitors at the House of family Martensen and beguile with their scent. Annelene Martensen has discovered the roses in Angelner gardens, sought to spur, and then put them together to this incredibly beautiful Idyll. The old Roses bloom usually only once per year, for it but so lush. By some wild roses offers offshoot for sale.

Ziegelei str. 34, 24392 Norderbrarup, opened: 30.6, 1.7, 10 am until 5 pm, entrance fee: Euro

6-Ulsnis

For Heidi and Michael Chalupka became reality, as they at fishing eight years ago from the Bergischen a dream her new, different life began. The trained architect had put back the ailing and deformed low German Flachhallenhaus from 1756 piece by piece to its previous state. The two in the rear of the two racks House moved in seven years ago, it was still a construction site. It no longer is today to see. -Here it is called LOH – property owners lovingly have prepared as a small Museum of the Hall. The white frame house is embedded in an idyllic cottage garden, where time seems to have stood still. Who lingers on one of enchanted seats, it will soon smell this spicy sweet smell of herbs and roses, is hearing the peaceful bees and the scratchy sound of dwarf chicken scratching in the ground for earthworms. If even one of the Coburg Fox sheep in the silence inside bleats, it wants to beat here in the favorite roots.

Hestoft 24, 24897 Ulsnis, open when the door is open and by appointment. No entrance fee, a “recognition” is however welcome. From here it is only a short walk to the “Café Krog” and the historic cemetery and rectory.

7-JÜBek

The now adult children Nanette and Jürgen Tröger the sleepy area at their childhood home here call their “fairy tale garden”. Really extravagant, magnificent summer perennials proliferate on the 2000 sqm corner lot between May and September. Years 16 ago, when sandbox and swing were no longer needed sand, the Trögers began with the transformation of their garden. The first pond was created, a Brook filled, placed Pavilion, a secluded seating area set up and planted the boxwood hedges – also a vegetable garden with chicken outlet could not be missed. Very well balanced the different parts smoothly now. Who look closely, find many suggestions on how a typical North German summer garden can be designed.

Meierei str. 13, 24855 Jübek, open: 23, 24.6, 10 to 17 hrs, no dogs

8-Dannewerk

The round cut Linden in front of the House by Christina and Detlef Eichner are typical for this region. The Danevirke, the archaeologically significant Viking ramparts, goes to her unusual garden. The interesting part is located between the road and the House from 1878. Earlier, when the building was still agriculturally used, the front yard was only a roll square. Eight years ago the Ebrahim created a typical North German farmhouse garden then from the barren surface, with stone-paved paths, clear box-tree fences, historical roses such as ‘Rose de Resht’ and the ‘Queen of Denmark’, purple Foxglove, and blue violet Salvien. Behind the House there is though less spectacular, but very entertaining. Make sure insect hotel, in which many different wild bee species have their home, a pretty pond with grass-covered log House, an orchard and flower beds to the u.

Obaidi route 17, 24867 Dannewerk, open: 23, 24.6, 10 to 17 hrs

9-Havetoftloit

Not wondering if silence sometimes louder is on the farm “Easter Bunsbüll” family: for example when holiday guests of the horseback ride across the nearby Pike Moor go back and skip the hooves of the horses on the stone-paved courtyard. Anyone looking for silence, can find them during a walk through the garden of the popular holiday justice. The many contrasts are fascinating: the dark shadow which throw the old Oaks, Linden and chestnut trees on the lush green lawn, and next the colorfulness of perennials, whose Blüten is to stretch the Sun. Intoxicatingly beautiful also the large rhododendrons that bloom lavishly in mid-May, in white, pink and red. In the summer it’s worth visiting at the ponds with frogs, dragonflies and their beautiful weeping willows.

Easter boxes route 10, 24875 Havetoftloit, (apartment from 55 Euro / night), open: 20.5, 10 to 18: 00 (rhododendron flower), 23.6, 10-22 h, 24.6, 10 am until 6 pm, entrance fee: 1 euro

With some garden owners don’t more tour dates to be agreed individually.
